This is my first book I got from www.netgalley.com. A friend of mine told me that I could request books free from this site as long as I identify myself as a librarian/ book publisher/ book distributor or a reviewer. Since I don't belong to any book stores or distributors or even a simple library, so I identify myself as a reviewer. I don't review all books, though.

Well, since it's the fisrt time for me to request, so I just tried my luck to hit any books provided by netgalley. And Boys of Summer was the one I hit the request button. I forgot whether I read the short review or nor not. That's why I got a bit shocked when I read the short story of this book. It's all about gay boys.

Almost all (or maybe all?) of stories here are about boys aged around 16-20, and all of them have a big attraction to boys. For Indonesian books, I think, as far as I can remember, I never read books with this kind of issue. One thing I like from Steve Berman is he put environmental issue, especially about nature and some rare animals in his stories.

Alas, I don't intend to finish reading this compilation of short stories. Got bored? perhaps. Well, other tempting stories await for me to read.
